Flooding in the state has gotten so bad that it has claimed a man's life.

54 year old Mike J. Wirth was helping a couple with flood issues in Ketchum when he ended up dying in 6 feet of flood water in the basement.

According to the Idaho Statesman, Wirth owns a landscaping company and was called to help the Hastings family. He was in the basement of the home when all of a sudden the couple heard Mike screaming for help.

A rescue team was immediately called, but he was found unconscious and later died at St. Luke's Wood River Hospital. It's presumed Mike drowned, but the exact cause of death has not been released.
