Idaho 5th and 6th Graders Ski For Pennies This Winter
Last week, we let you in on the little secret that Idaho fourth graders could get their a FREE Christmas tree permit through the Every Kid Outdoors program. Parents of fifth graders chimed in saying "well, this would've been great to know last year!" Turns out your kids in the fifth and sixth grades are entitled to something too!
They qualify for something called the Idaho Peak Season passport that offers kids in fifth grader three (almost) FREE days of skiing at all 18 of Idaho's ski resorts. Sixth graders are eligible for two (almost) FREE days of skiing at 17 resorts.
Are you re-reading that and wondering what the "almost" catch is? When you sign-up for the program you'll have to pay a one-time $18 processing fee for your child's passport. If you do the math on that, you're literally paying pennies for each lift ticket. For fifth graders, the passes work out to about 33 cents a piece and for sixth graders, 53 cents a piece. Junior lift tickets run $26 at Bogus, $27 at Brundage and $34 at Tamarack, so you can see how great of a deal this passport really is!
Want to get your kiddo involved and spend some quality time with them on the slopes? Click HERE to get them signed up. After you enroll them, you'll be able to print the passport or pull it up on your smartphone when you go to grab the lift tickets together! Check out who's part of the program below.
