Idaho Has No Energy For Blue Monday! It’s A Fact
Idaho and Blue Monday: The Perfect Match for Doing Absolutely Nothing
We need to talk. According to a recent survey, you're sitting pretty (or slumping miserably) at #4 on the list of most demotivated states for Blue Monday, according to the Action Network. With an average score of 6.88 out of 10 in the "meh" department, it seems that our energy reserves are running as dry as… well, a potato field in August. Wyoming may have taken the crown for least motivated, but we're not far behind, practically napping our way into the bottom five.
Blue Monday, which is landing on January 20th, is supposedly the "saddest" day of the year. And in Idaho, you'd think a little seasonal slump wouldn't get under anyone's skin. But nope, apparently, the only thing moving slower than motivation levels here might just be traffic in Boise during a snowstorm.
While New Hampshire tops the list as the most motivated state on Blue Monday, we can only assume they're fueled by maple syrup or pure stubbornness. Meanwhile, we seem content lounging on the couch, staring out the window at...nothing. Of course, blaming the weather for this lack of motivation feels a bit unfair.
How can we fight back against Blue Monday blues? Step one: find a reason to cheer! Maybe rally behind the Idaho Steelheads or crack open a steaming cup of huckleberry tea while binge-watching whatever's trending. Step two? Step outside. The outdoors are cold, but aren't we supposed to be tough?
Blue Monday doesn't have to be a bleak couch potato festival.
