Fatal accidents have been really bad this summer. This time claiming the life of a 72-year-old man from Twin Falls.

William Selelyo was headed north on U.S. 93 North of Jackpot, Nevada when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and collided with a semi driven by 54-year-old Michael Wilkens from Bizmark, North Dakota.

Despite William wearing a seatbelt, you can see how badly his car was crushed and he died at the scene. The driver of the semi was taken to St. Luke's Magic Valley Medical Center.

So far we have no idea why William crossed the center line. It could have been anything; a medical emergency, drowsiness, not paying attention, or something else. Crews will continue to investigate, but it's a question we may never have the answer to.

According to KTVB, the crash was so bad that it blocked the northbound lanes of U.S. 93 for five hours.

Please keep all that knew and loved William Selelyo in your thoughts and prayers and we pray that the driver of the semi makes a full recovery.
