Steven Denson, 61, a suspect in the murder of 37-year -old Kelly Pease, was discovered dead Thursday afternoon in his car according to Coeur d'Alene Police.  Police say his body was found on Bruss and Highway 53 close to Rathdrum at roughly 5:45 PM.  Court documents say that the two were once engaged.

While the investigation is still ongoing, it's suspected that Denson committed suicide.

Denson is believed to have killed Pease who was found dead and reportedly had been shot in the head.  Her body was discovered in her car as well at Kootenai Health.  Sources say she was found by a hospital employee.

According to police, they say Denson's Nissan Pathfinder was spotted by a citizen.  Police were notified at roughly 4:15 PM.  Reports say that a muffled gunshot was heard when a Kootenai Co. deputy arrived at the scene.

Court documents go on to say that in February Denson violated a no-contact order.  They go on to say that he also attacked Pease in January and that had accusations of strangulation as well as domestic violence.
