It is probably one of the scariest videos that we have seen released in some time--and it is one that could have ended a lot worse.

Slow down. Move over. These are two things that the Idaho State Police is hoping that you will remember next time you see an officer stopped on the side of the freeway.

A six-car collision occurred this morning on eastbound I-84 and while that is a whole lot of vehicles, only one individual was injured: the Idaho State Police Officer that was on the side of the road doing his job. The officer was helping a stranded motorist on the side of the freeway when a vehicle that was slowing for the office was rear-ended by another vehicle. From there, a six car pile-up was created in dramatic fashion.

In a statement released by Sergeant Brandalyn Crapo of the Idaho State Police, it was said:

Traffic stops are very high risk, they're necessary to keep people safe on the road and to help those stranded, but we need motorists' help so we can all go home at night. Slowing down and moving over for emergency vehicles and workers isn't just a courtesy, it's the law. Drivers need to be alert to emergency lights and vehicles and always alert to what's happening around them
