We have almost every store you could ever want here in the Treasure Valley, but there are a few businesses I wish would make their way here! Are they in the works to set up shop in Boise?

Coming from Salt Lake City I tell people all the time that we have pretty much everything here in the Treasure Valley that Salt Lake City has, except for an IKEA... but I just found out we kind of do! A business called Assembled in Boise goes to IKEA bi-weekly, it costs less than having your stuff shipped from the store, and they'll even assemble it for you!! I'm so excited! You gotta check this place out if you are an IKEA fan! Don't expect an actual IKEA to pop up anytime soon though. The Sweden based store won't set up shop in any city that has less than 1,000,000 people.

Another store I have been hoping and praying would come to the Treasure Valley is an American Girl Doll store. I took my 7 year old daughter Jocelyn to their LA location last year and we had a ball! My daughter said she liked it even better than Disneyland!! No signs of American Girl Doll coming to Boise. The closest location is in Portland, Oregon which is about 6 1/2 hours from here by car. We may just have to take a trip!

I know we have Roaring Springs, and I'm really genuinely excited to check it out this summer, but my favorite water park that I've ever experienced is Cowabunga Bay. They have a location in Draper, Utah and one in Las Vegas, Nevada. It's the cleanest water park I've ever been to and its small enough that I could lay back, get a tan, and let my kids loose without too much worry. Hopefully Roaring Springs can win me over!

A couple other stores we've mentioned at home that we would love to see in the Treasure Valley are Sprouts Farmers Market, which has tons of fresh produce at really affordable prices, Nordstrom's, not just Nordstrom Rack, which is here in the valley, and my husband would love to see an Eddie Bauer Outlet store pop up because he gets all of his business attire there.

We do have some really cool stores coming to The Village in Meridian soon that I'm super excited about. Athleta (where I buy all my swimsuits) is scheduled to be here by Fall, along with the boutique Hope Ave. You can read more about their arrival HERE.

The Treasure Valley is getting better and better all the time! Let's go shopping!
