Jerrod Niemann “High Noon”

When you’ve been doing what I do for as long as I have, you get to know a lot of people. I’ve known Jerrod Niemann for several years. He’s a little bit country and a little bit crazy (in a good way!). He’s a guy that presses the boundaries of country music with his writing and his performances.

He’s just released his latest CD titled High Noon on Arista-Nashville. You’ve been hearing the first single “Drink To That All Night” for several weeks on Wow 104.3. Even though not all of Nashville has readily embraced Jerrod’s style or music, “Drink” is poised to be a number one record in the next few weeks.

This is his third album for Arista-Nashville, and you’ll find it full of songs that show his playful side, his tender side and, like I said earlier, his crazy side. Check out “Come On, Come On” and see if you don’t think it might be another number one record for Jerrod. “Buzz Back Girl” is a feel good romancin’ song that will sound great blasting from your radio on a warm summer night with the windows rolled down. Jerrod slows things down with “I Can’t Give In Anymore” and shows his softer side.

Party animals and Niemannites will raise their glasses to “Drink” and sway to “Day Drinkin’." I can only guess what’s going to happen when they crank up “Donkey”.

There’s more of Jerrod to be explored on the CD, but I’ll leave that up to you.
