Yakima Valley in Crisis: 7 Major Shortages Gripping the Region in 2024
Not long ago, we explored some of the biggest shortages facing Washington state.
These included surprising things like ferries (who would have thought).
If you have lived in Washington long enough, you can probably already guess a few of the other things on the list, like housing and substitute teachers.
Our California neighbors have their own list of shortages to grapple with. Besides affordable housing, they are facing construction workers shortages and other skilled labor workers in 2024.
Perhaps Yakima Valley is the canary in the mine, because we have been facing these shortages way before they became relative to the entire state.
The Yakima Valley region has become a popular place for newbies to land, thus creating some major gaps in our community needs.
