The weather is HOT here in the Treasure Valley. Walking out to your car in the middle of the day feels like a chore, there is smoke in the air, and you could probably cook an egg on the sidewalk by the afternoon.

We aren't trying to paint a bad picture of Boise, but it is certainly the reality that we're living in right now. Remember months ago when we were begging for summertime? Here it is.

There are plenty of creative ways to cool down, but today, what some are saying may be the hottest day of the summer, happens to fall on a peculiar 'holiday'.

It's National Margarita Day!

To each their own, whether a splash pad, a movie theatre, or...an ice cold margarita.

With the holiday comes a handful of great deals in the Treasure Valley.

Boise's Coa Cantina is offering National Margarita Day Deals all day long!

Coa Cantina, a more casual spin-off of Boise's beloved Barbacoa, is going to be offering 'House Margaritas' all day long for just $5.

'No Tricks, No Catches' writes Coa Cantina on Instagram. You can get in on these $5 margs all day--they're open from 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.  Don't forget their beloved happy hour runs from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. just in case you want to 'double dip' on the deals.

Both Garden City and Eagle's Spitfire Tacos and Tequila have deals going on

If you've never been to Spitfire Tacos and Tequila, today might be the time to try it. They've become popular enough in the are to now have multiple locations and for National Margarita day, both are doing something special!

You can get out to Eagle, the 'OG' location, and enjoy their rooftop (or their air conditioning, downstairs) and get in on tequila tastings or happy hour deals. Meanwhile at their Garden City location, right on the Boise Greenbelt, you can dive into some BOGO margaritas from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.

The 'Greenbelt Night Market' will also be going on at the same time, featuring all sorts of margarita bars, tequila flight experiences, and music!

National Tequila Day may land on Boise's hottest day of summer but there are lots of options to cool off!
