You know that saying "all good things must come to an end?" Well, it looks like it's gonna be that time again pretty soon to say goodbye to your dear friend from the holidays, your Christmas tree. Luckily though, Treasure Valley residents have multiple options to go about doing so.

1. If you're in Boise, Meridian, Garden City, or Mountain Home you can recycle your tree by curbside collection.  This will take place from Jan. 2 - Jan. 6 and please no ornaments, tinsel, or lights still attached.  Also, your tree must be detached from the tree stand.  If your tree is more that 4 feet, please cut it into 4-foot lengths with the branches bundled.

2. If you're in Nampa you can drop off your tree at the Kohlerlawn Cemetary, 76 6th St. North.  Trees can be dropped off between Dec. 27 and Jan. 13, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  Please remove all ornaments, lights, tinsel, and Christmas tree stands.

3. For Caldwell residents, going on through Jan. 16 the city's forestry department is offering Christmas tree chipping.  The city's web site says undecorated trees can be dropped off at the U.S. West gravel parking lot on 21st and Arthur.

4. The Ada Country Landfill will also accept trees for free until Jan. 14.  The address is 10300 N. Seaman’s Gulch Road.
