Man Accidentally Shot At Idaho Shooting Range Dies
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of 23-year-old Michael Ephraim who unfortunately is no longer with us after accidentally being shot in the head by other target shooters that were just a few hundred feet away.
The Bonneville County Sheriff ’s Office reports that there were two separate groups target shooting near the old National Guard Training Range in East Idaho on the West Arco Highway so they weren't actually at the range shooting but very close.
Ephraim's vehicle was hit and he was hit in the head. A fatal shot that has devastated all those involved and their families as well. There's no changing what happened here. Authorities believe this to be completely unintentional. The shooter is cooperating in every way possible and I would imagine that whoever that is, they too are suffering. It's just tragic and sad all around.
According to the Idaho State Journal, the Bonneville County Sheriff's Office is digging into this case deep making sure they gather all evidence and investigate properly. The Bonneville County Prosecutor’s Office will decide what to do once the investigation is complete.
Again, our thoughts and prayers go out to Michael's family and to all those involved.
