A heartbreaking end to what should be one of the most peaceful and fun things you can do in the Treasure Valley. A man is dead after floating the Boise River.

According to an article on KTVB, emergency responders were called to the scene at Bown Crossing at about 2:30 yesterday afternoon.

The man was in his 60's and had fallen out of his inner tube. Boise Fire officials say it is believed that he suffered cardiac arrest as he tried to get back into the tube and he later passed away at an area hospital.

The man was treated at the scene, but they were not able to ultimately save his life. His identity has not been released.

Who knows if this is just a bizarre coincidence or what caused him to go into cardiac arrest. By all accounts, there doesn't appear to be a direct relation to him floating the river and the medical emergency.

Please keep everyone who knew and loved this man in your thoughts and prayers.
