A Nampa poacher is banned from hunting for life, doing jail time, and paying up for his mistakes.

In November of 2015, Idaho Fish and Game discovered the poaching of a bighorn sheep along the Salmon River. They confronted fifty-three-year-old, Paul Cortez. Cortez pleaded guilty to one felony of unlawfully killing a trophy big game animal in April.

He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, fined $10,000, and is now banned for life from hunting.

THIS, is a great example as to why you follow the rules.
