Nampa to Offer Full-Day Kindergarten

Have a little one going into Kindergarten? Nampa will soon offer full-day classes, but you'll have to pay up.

School officials announced that three Nampa-area elementary schools will soon offer full-day, everyday kindergarten classes starting this fall.

They say the new longer class schedule will "allow teachers to focus on developing social skills and participation as well as the academic lessons shorter schedules focus on."

Who will pay for the cost of a full-time teacher? The parents. In this case the parents will be responsible for $2,160 for the full school year.
