Sleeping In Cold Rooms Is Good For Your Health
According to a new study, people who sleep in cooler temperatures are healthier than those who fire up the thermostat at night.
I sleep with a fan on every night, even in the winter. Some people think I'm crazy, but I've always slept better when I was cooler. Little did I know, it was actually benefiting my health.
According to Dr. Chris Winter of HuffingtonPost, science dictates that temperatures between 60 and 67 degrees are ideal sleeping conditions. Even lowering the thermostat a few degrees before bed helps decrease your risk of certain diseases, like diabetes.
Also, colder-sleepers burn more calories throughout their day. And on top of it all, amazingly, sleeping in cooler temperatures keeps you looking younger. When the air is less than 70 degrees around you, your body releases melatonin, which is one of the most powerful anti-aging hormones in your body.
