The BEST Cookies

I take these cookies to Christmas parties and to work every year and they're a HUGE hit!

Sometimes a basic cookie can be the best. My friend made these cookies for a girls night we were having a few years ago and I instantly had this "uuummmmm what is this greatness" reaction to these chocolate chip cookies. Ever sense I take these cookies to all kinds of events and have even gotten a little creative with the dough to make different versions of cookies.

They're a beautiful blonde, soft chocolate chip cookie.

3/4 cup unsalted butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup sugar

1 egg

2 tsp vanilla

2 cups flour

2 tsp cornstarch

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup bittersweet chocolate chips (Ghirardelli bittersweet really is the perfect chip for these cookies)

Bake at 350 F for 9 minutes. They don't really brown so don't let the light color fool you.
