Boise, Idaho - I like asking for your opinions, especially since I'm still fairly new to the area. I feel if I can get you involved in the conversation I'll have better answers to share with readers.

So what did I ask this time? It has to do with New Year's Resolutions.

Posts like these can go a lot of different directions, and sometimes people can really get off track. They're supposed to be fun, something we can laugh about, I feel like these comments got off track real quick.

If I give you one guess what a lot of people had to say, what would you guess?

If you guessed it had to deal with out of staters moving to Idaho, then you're pretty much on point. Since my time moving to Boise, I think I hear more complaints from people about Californians moving to Idaho than anything else.

Are people from California really that bad?

If people didn't move to Boise and the Treasure Valley would you have people opening up amazing restaurants? Would you have thriving downtown locations, not just Boise's? I understand you don't want people coming here and changing the political structure of the state that's what makes Idaho, Idaho.

There were a lot of other great comments though and some understandable frustrations. I think there are some really good New Years' resolutions in the comments for Idaho, and I think there are a lot of unhappy people in Idaho as well.

I hope you have an amazing 2023 and that the New Year brings you nothing but good vibes!
