Gwinnett Animal Welfare & Enforcement animal shelter in Georgia decided to throw a party to make one of their rescue pups feel extra special.

A dog named Brownie recently turned 2-years-old and had just marked living one year at the animal shelter. The shelter let Brownie relax in a pool full of water, chase a lot of tennis balls, enjoy a special cake, and homemade treats. He also got his very own photoshoot in hopes of the shelter posting them and Brownie finally getting adopted.

Brownie has developed some behavioral issues after living at the shelter for so long, but the shelter wants people to know he's a very lovable pet. Katie Corbett, who works at the shelter, shared with 13 WMAZ"Brownie is a goofy, smart, and very loving boy. He is the happiest with a tennis ball in his mouth and out in the yard laying in a pool filled with water."

If anyone is interested in adopting Brownie, they can reach out to the rescue office at 678-245-2447, or by email: animalrescue@gwinnettcountry.com.
