The Treasure Valley Celtic Festival and Highland Games are this weekend at Expo Idaho
If you want to see some ancient "games" in modern times, then you may want to check out the activities at Expo Idaho on Saturday. The Treasure Valley Scottish-American Society is hosting their annual Celtic Festival and Highland Games on the carnival grass area from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
This isn't anything new. It's the 20th anniversary of the festival here in the Boise area. The games however? Well, they go back to a time long, long time ago, but the athletes today are just as adamant about winning as they were in the days of William Wallace.
It's a full day of Highland Games and Celtic Festival activities. $10 for adults, $8 for Kids (ages 5-15), Seniors (60 and up) and active military. All Kids under age 5 are FREE.
