Treasure Valley Drivers Speeding in School Zones

Are Treasure Valley drivers going too fast in school zones? One Boise resident thinks so.

In an opinion piece for The Idaho Statesman, I read that Treasure Valley drivers are speeding in school zones. What?! That makes me anxious just thinking about it. One Boise resident thought the problem needed to come to light.

In the article he claims drivers are going 10mph over the posted speed limit in one school zone in Boise. Michael Berndt feels that driver's tests need to be stricter when it comes to focus, road signs, and where and when to slow down.

His solution is simple:

"Pay attention to what’s going on around you as you drive through this or any other city, and realize that sometimes you have to adjust what you’re doing while driving in order to ensure safety for you and your passengers, as well as those in other vehicles and walking around town."
