I saw this screenshot going around a couple of different Reddit threads, and people were very intrigued. There is a map of the United States and its share of single-mom households. Where do you think Idaho ranked? Towards the higher or lower end?

If you're on the hunt to meet a single mom, Idaho might not be your best bet. Only 11% of households with kids here are run by single moms. That's lower than the national average, which is 17%. Utah has the lowest percentage, with only 9% of households led by single moms, likely due to cultural and religious beliefs discouraging kids outside of marriage.

Idaho Vs. the Single Mom Hotspots

Washington, D.C., takes the cake with 29%, or nearly 1 in 3 families, headed by single moms. Mississippi and Louisiana are not far behind, with 24% and 23% share. These are the spots you'll want to move to if single moms and Southern hospitality catch your eye. Also, who's just wanted to meet single moms? I think that's weird. There's nothing wrong with dating a single mom. The weird part is if that's all you're looking for. Jokes aside, someone who commented on Reddit said, "How many fathers are incarcerated?
