Will You Shop On Thanksgiving?
Thanksgiving is just around the cor....oh who are we kidding, it's all about Black Friday, right? Nah, I don't think so. Are you ready for the madness that is Black Friday...err, Black Thanksgiving? Some retailers like Macy’s, Target, Kohl’s, Staples, and Sears are opening their doors as early as 6pm on Thanksgiving night - ridiculous!
If you thought that was bad, J.C. Penney and Toys ‘R’ Us - 5p on Thanksgiving.
One store that will close on Thanksgiving..Radio Shack! Oh wait, never mind, they decided to open at 8am :(
But taking the cake this year: Kmart, 6a Thanksgiving morning.
I think these retailers have missed the point of Thanksgiving...
HOWEVER, there are some stores that value family-time over profits:
DSW, Costco, Burlington Coat Factory, REI, JoAnnes, TJ Maxx, Marshals, Pier 1, Barnes & Noble, Home Depot, and Lowes are some of the stores who refuse to open on Thanksgiving. KUDOS TO THEM!
