Happy National Potato Month, Idaho!

The rest of the country is joining us in the month of September to honor how great potatoes truly are. Not only is Idaho known for potatoes but we're also known for the popular Airbnb here that is shaped like a potato! What better way to celebrate National Potato Month than spending a getaway inside of one, right? McAlister's Deli thinks so too which is why they're giving away a three-night stay at the Big Idaho Potato Hotel as part of The Great Spud Getaway.

The getaway includes a four-day all-expenses-paid trip for one lucky winner. That winner and their best spud will get to spend a few nights sleeping in the Big Idaho Potato Hotel from October 14th through October 17th. The winner will receive a $400 American Express gift card, a free rental car, and a year’s supply of baked potatoes from McAlister's Deli.

Entering to win is simple but it will require you to take a trip to the ONLY McAlister's Deli in Idaho which is in Twin Falls. And don't worry I already checked - we Idahoans are still eligible to enter. Post or tweet a photo on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter with your customized “spud creation” starting on Sept. 1 at 10 a.m. ET through September 14 at 11:50 p.m. ET. Don’t forget to tag McAlister’s Deli’s socials — @McAlistersDeli on Facebook, @McAlistersDeli on Twitter, and @mcalistersdeli on Instagram — in your post and use the tag #spudbudsweeps as well.

The winner will be randomly selected from all entries and notified on September 21st. The deadline to enter is September 14th.

8 Places in Idaho With Surprisingly Dirty Sounding Names

Idaho has some pretty zany named places, but these just sound downright dirty. Some sound like they were named after actual filth. Others sound more lewd. Either way, they make us giggle.
