As a Boise newcomer, Treefort was something my wife & I have heard about since moving here last September. Still trying to wrap my head around this event with over 500 bands, 13 different forts, and so many different events that, as a newbie, it feels a little overwhelming.

Treefort is taking place March 22-26 throughout Downtown Boise and is celebrating its 11th year after starting in 2012 with 137 bands. You can purchase a festival pass for $290. For those under 21, a festival pass is $150, and those who don't want to wait in lines can purchase a Zipline pass for $420. It's incredible what they have been able to put together, including Foodfort. Foodfort is an event for $45 per person to enjoy a taste of participating chefs' dishes at Zoo Boise. Here you check out a list of Treefort 11 passes.

Treefort even has the "Treeline" shuttle service that will shuttle Treeforters around downtown Boise making it easier to get from one location to another. So new this year, the shuttle will also take you to Julia Davis Park, where you'll find the Main Stage. If you want to scoot around downtown, you can download the Lime app and get 30% off during Treefort with a scooter corral at Julie Daivs Park.

For others who might be new to the Treefort experience and want to get to know the lay of the land, it would be nice to put together a list of the free events that are taking place. There's also a ton of great stuff for the kids as well. Make sure to check out the entire list of free stuff you can do around Treefort. Thanks to Marissa with From Boise for making a list of free stuff to do!
