The price tag seems a little excessive with only 2 beds, 2 baths, and only 2,684 sqft. The lot isn't even that big, it's less than an acre. Maybe this is why people continue to leave California.

The listing says "An iconic property, the first time ever on the market for sale, 100 feet of beachfront in the center of the deepest sandiest section of Escondido Beach. Incredible opportunity to build your dream estate. Rarely does a beachfront property this size become available. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to tear down and build a monumental beachfront compound".

So, you're telling me I'm buying this property for just under $40 Million to tear it down and rebuild? That seems pretty expensive, but if you can afford to buy the house I'm sure you can afford to build a new one?

Don't get me wrong I would love to live on the beach, incredible sunsets, great Airbnb location, and who knows who may have some famous neighbors.

Located along Pacific Coast Highway it can become very congested at times, but the drive along PCH is absolutely gorgeous!

Just down the street there's another house that's listed for $7.47 Million that has 3 beds, 2 baths, 1,015 sqft. and is on a 9,580 sqft lot. It's also located right on the beach.

Median listing home price in the area is just over $5 Million, so what makes this home special? They didn't really do a great job selling it. The listing only has four pictures and they're mostly of the sand. Take a look!
