With the warmer weather hitting us, it's nice to get out and see some of God's miracles in our own backyard.  Idaho's natural landscape is second to none.  Hiking, biking, fishing, and some of the most incredible waterfalls on earth.  Here's our favorites.

Mesa Falls

The upper Mesa Falls are 110 feet high and the lower is 85 feet high.  You can get to both fairly easy by walking.  These are the only large falls in Idaho that are not used for any sort of hydroelectric project or irrigation system.

Shoshone Falls

Just two hours from Boise, this little hot spot is known as the Niagara Falls of the West.  Right now is the best time to check out Shoshone because all of the snow melting.  That, and the flowers have just started blossoming.  This 900 foot wide waterfall is fed by the Snake River and stands over 200 feet tall.

Fern Falls

North of Kingston near Prichard, it's an easy 100 to 300 yard hike.  That means, no problem if you have little kids with you.  Perfect family spot for a little Spring picnic.  Fern Falls is small but drizzles rather than gushes which makes it unique and beautiful in a very different way.

Elk Creek Falls

Elk Creek Falls has three different parts to it.  The upper, middle, and lower falls are all accessible through a pretty tough hike just outside of Elk River.  The thick, green forest and crystal clear water make that tough hike well worth it.
