When people outside of Idaho imagine what it's like here, they probably think about mountains, forests, and, of course, hunting and fishing. And why shouldn't they? Idaho is regularly among the top states when it comes to registered hunters, and there's plenty of game to hunt down.

Even better, the weather will continue to improve as we had into April.

April is looking good already, with temperature highs hovering between 50 to 73 degrees throughout the month, according to Accuweather.

In a post shared to social media, Idaho Fish & Game reminded people to pay attention to important upcoming dates.

"From tag sales to general season openers, a lot is happening in Idaho during April that you should be aware of," the post said. "Staying in the loop can be the difference between applying for that coveted controlled hunt tag and watching from the sidelines."

"Hunters, anglers, and trappers should always double-check the seasons and rules booklets to confirm opening and closing dates, as well as restrictions and rules pertaining to individual species."
