I've never been a huge Christmas fan and I'm not sure why-- maybe it's the over-commercialization or the ridiculous pressure society puts on us to gift things to people. Either way, the season does carry along with it the immense spirit of giving that our area here in the Treasure Valley embraces so well. If you're looking for a way to make a difference, the United States Postal Service has a way for you to help!

If you have ever wanted to be one of Santa's helpers that makes a child smile over a Christmas gift, this is a really cool way to do so and the United States Postal Service is making it happen. Yes, the USPS is responsible for getting all of those letters to Santa-- yet, we as adults know that unfortunately, families all across the country and right here in Boise, Meridian, Nampa, Caldwell, and surrounding cities simply don't have the financial means to do the behind the scenes work for Santa Claus and make that work. There's no reason that any kids in our area should go without the thrill of receiving a gift from Santa.

The 'Be An Elf' program helps you answer real letters to Santa from kids right here in the State of Idaho and beyond. An act that could REALLY make a child's day--and I love the concept.
