It's the type of thing you dread hear about but we just got word from KTVB that the body of a 16-year-old Middleton Boy was discovered in the Boise River today. The body was found in the water near Star Road according to the Ada County Sheriff's Office. His body was recovered thanks to the team work of the Star Police Department and the ACSO Dive Team.

The boy had originally gone missing around 3 p.m. on Sunday, his friends searched for hours before seeking other help. When the Sheriff's office got word of the missing boy they worked with the Boise, Star, and Eagle fire departments to search as long as sunlight would allow. The body was found Monday morning when the search was continued.

Authorities who retrieved the body say they saw no visible trauma so it is believed that the teen did drowned. The name of the teen has not been released yet. Please be very cautious when recreating on the water, and if you need assistance seek out emergency personnel immediately.
