In some cases, you'll have better luck getting struck by lightning than guessing what Boise's weather will do. There have been days this year when we seem to get all four seasons rolled up into one.

This weekend, however, we might set a record that hasn't been broken in over a hundred years.

How Hot Will It Be In Boise This Weekend?

It's going to be a hot one! If you have anywhere to be under the bare you-know-what sun, make sure to use the proper sunscreen, bring shade if possible, and most importantly: stay hydrated!

According to Weather.com, Boise is expected to see temperatures at or above 100 degrees this Saturday before drastically falling off, with temperatures sinking to 79 that following Sunday.

We decided to look up the hottest day on record for the month of May in Boise, and we found two different numbers that could be shattered this weekend.

According to Extreme Weather Watch, Boise's hottest day on record for the month of May was on May 28th, 1919, when Boise hit 101 degrees Fahrenheit. Mind you, this data says this is the record between the years of 1911 and 2025.

The second temperature/date we found is more controversial, as experts can't confirm whether or not the temperature is accurate or not. A simple Google search for "Hottest Day in Idaho For The Month of May" shows us the date May 27, 1874, with a temperature of 96 degrees.

As we know, this number was smashed back in 1919 with the 101-degree temperature set that day, and even then, this Saturday is expected to be even hotter.
