Is Boise Getting Its First Pro Sports Team In 2025?

As we begin to wind down 2024, one has to wonder - will Boise ever get a professional sports team? Ashton Fever has swept Boise with the Broncos receiving nationwide attention and they've been backing it up with their play as of late.

It's probably safe to say that our fanbase is more than ready to support a professional sports team. Can you imagine the traditions we would come up with? How about the amount of support a team would get in the form of the entire state of Idaho?

Is Boise Ready For The Big Time?

Even if Boise got its own professional sports team, there would still be a lot of competition for attention with Boise State's football team. Also, if Boise were to somehow land an NFL team, where would they play?

That alone would create a huge barrier that not many might like to hear: Cost.

It's no secret that supporting a pro sports team is expensive when you factor in funding an actual stadium/arena for the team to play in. You also have the concern of locals who are worried about Boise getting too much of the spotlight which could result in Boise attracting more people than locals are already comfortable with.
