Boise Woman Runs Naked Into Traffic Holding Baby

What is behind this 40-year-old woman running naked, into traffic, with a baby in her hands on West State and North Arthur Street on Friday?

Boise Police have arrested Crystal Knapek in one of the weirdest sights people here in Boise have seen ever.  I don't know about you but if I look over and see a naked woman holding a baby running into traffic... I may do a double take.

It happened around 8 o'clock Friday morning and spectators are saying a lot of cars had to slam on their brakes to avoid hitting the woman and child.  Officers had to restrain the woman quickly to take the child and make sure it was safe.

Knapek has been sent to the hospital for evaluation before she faces charges of endangering a child, indecent exposure, resisting arrest, and being under the influence of a controlled substance in a public place.  Surprise, surprise... she was on drugs!

The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare have stepped up and taken custody of the child.
