Golf at the Albertsons Boise Open officially kicks off on Thursday, but festivities leading up to to the tournament are already underway. Before the pros tee-off, the tournament hosts three days of Pro-Am and Am-Am golfing, which is closed to the public. The evening usually wraps up with a concert by an unannounced artist. In the past, it's included country stars like Keith Urban, Little Big Town and The Band Perry.

But in 2021? It wasn't a country artist that surprised the crowd at Hillcrest Country Club on Monday night. It was rock legend Jon Bon Jovi!

From what we've been able to dig up, Jon Bon Jovi was a natural fit for the Pro-Am Concert because Hampton Water Rosé is being served at the event this year. The wine is a collaboration between Bon Jovi, his son Jesse, Ali Thomas and Gerard Bertrand. We're told that his set was made-up of acoustic versions of your favorite Bon Jovi Songs.

Boise Music Festival alum, Joan Jett, also performed a surprise Pro-Am concert on Tuesday night.

Concerts Open to the Public

The Albertsons Boise Open will also host three shows open to the public Thursday-Saturday. They've had to tweak the line-up after REO Speedwagon had to pull out at the last moment due to continued positive COVID-19 tests in their touring family. They'll be replaced by Sammy Hagar & The Circle (who will also headline Saturday night) and special guest Rick Springfield.

Country band, Old Dominion, will headline Thursday night. Tickets for all three nights are sold out.
