Idaho State Police is investigating a crash that happened Monday, January 5, 2026, around 11:55 a.m., near milepost 64 on State Highway 51 in Owyhee County.

ISP says the crash occurred near Bruneau on SH-51, close to milepost 64.
Jeveninle, driving an ATV, Crashed Into a Ford Explorer on SH-51
According to ISP, a 63-year-old Boise man was driving a 2026 Ford Explorer southbound when a juvenile riding a Honda ATV struck the SUV. ISP says the ATV came to rest in the northbound lanes.

Injuries And Emergency Response
ISP reports the juvenile was not wearing a helmet and was flown to an area hospital by air ambulance. At this time, we don't have an update on the condition of the juvenile, and there were no injuries reported for the driver of the Ford Explorer.
Highway Closures And What Happens Next
All lanes on State Highway 51 were blocked for about two hours while responders worked the scene. The crash remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police. The information for this content was obtained from a press release provided by the Idaho State Police.

Idaho State Police is also reporting a single-vehicle crash on US 93 near Salmon from Monday, January 5, 2026.
