California Company Bringing Jobs to Caldwell

A California-based company is expanding in Caldwell, bringing 100 job opportunities with them.

American Food Equipment Company (AMFEC) was looking to expand and they decided Idaho was the perfect spot because "of the work ethic of Idahoans and the opportunity for growth."

This expansion project is a win-win for the company and people looking to get a job with them. Because they're receiving some tax-breaks, AMFEC must pay their 100 new employees (to be hired over the next five years) $13,000 more than the average Canyon County salary!

The $7.7 million project broke ground this morning and expected to be completed by late fall.
