I LOOOOVE Dr. Seuss books, and now that my bonus kid is reading more fluently, the Seuss books keep coming and coming. I can't get enough. So every year when it's Dr. Seuss week, I jump at the opportunity to head out to some elementary schools in the Treasure Valley to read to the kiddos! This year, I got the chance to meet and read to some awesome little ones at Jefferson Elementary in Boise.

My voice did get quite a workout especially after "Oh Say Can You Say" (if you're into tongue-twisters, you'll love this one) and lengthy, "Scrambled Eggs Super". I also got the chance to read some of my kiddo's favorites, "Put Me in a Zoo," and "Ten Apples Up on Top."

But, my favorite of the day, which -in my opinion- has the best message of all Seuss' classics..."Oh, the Places You'll Go." If you ever get a chance to volunteer to read to little ones, I suggest you take it. It's so fun seeing their little faces looking at the pictures so attentively and I love it when they start reading along too!
