Here's a Halloween party that everyone can enjoy...even when temperatures in the Treasure Valley plunge into the upper 30s.

Oh. You read that right. By Sunday night, the Treasure Valley could be as cold as 16º. Sunday's high is 38º. As a kid, I truly believed there was nothing worse during Halloween than having to wear extra layers under my costume or a winter coat over my costume. If you're kids are the same way, this is a Halloween party you can enjoy together without leaving the warmth of your own vehicle! (Bonus points if you have heated seats!)

On Sunday, Eagle LifeChurch at 3838 W Floating Feather Road in Eagle is having a drive-thru Community Pumpkin party where they'll be giving away FREE pumpkins and carving kits. When you drive thru, each child in the vehicle under 18 will receive a free pumpkin and bag of candy (limit 4 per car.) Each car also receives a free carving kit that includes a knife, spoon and garbage bag. Why?

Because they want you to take those complimentary pumpkins home and carve them to be part of their Facebook pumpkin carving contest! Details for uploading your pictures by the October 29 deadline will be included with your kit.

While the event is FREE to families, we do encourage you to show your gratitude for Eagle LifeChurch's generosity by supporting their canned food drive. They've got a list of items they're looking for that will be donated to the Eagle Food Bank inside the Facebook event page for the event. Click HERE to check it out! (Also, if you plan on going, take the time to hit RSVP so they have an idea of how many people to expect. That's just polite after all!)
