No that wasn't a big truck rolling through your neighborhood. That shaking you felt tonight was an earthquake! According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the earthquake's epicenter was in Challis, Idaho and was recorded at a magnitude of 6.5 on the Richter Scale.

According to KTVB, the shake was felt all over the Treasure Valley and even in Montana and Spokane.
