Emmett, Gem County Declare State of Emergency

Snow and flood concerns led them to join cities like Boise and Meridian.

According to KTVB, officials say the recent snow and impending flooding is "threatening structures, roads, infrastructures, lines of communication, and property and living conditions of Emmett residents."

Residents are being asked to stay safe, and try to restrict driving time on hazardous roads.

The declaration is for 7 days (just like Boise's is), but could be extended depending on conditions.
