I'm not sure that the saying "taste like chicken" was ever meant to be a negative thing because in my mind there is nothing negative about Chicken. I love chicken because you can do so much with it. It's such versatile protein, you can create a chicken salad with it, Italian restaurants make chicken parmesan, Mexican restaurants make chicken tacos with it, Cordon blue is a popular is a popular choice at French restaurants and here in the states we make everything from chicken sandwiches to chicken wings but my favorite by far is fried chicken. I'm definitely not alone as the fried chicken craze has gotten so big that it now has a national day dedicated to it. July 6th is National Fried Chicken Day and there are a hand full of restaurants in the Treasure Valley that are celebrating by giving away free or discounted food.
