Golfing Superstar from Wilder

We've got a superstar golfer coming right out of Wilder, Idaho. He just tied for 2nd place at the National Golf Finals in Augusta, Georgia!! 

First off, lets get one thing straight, the boy in the picture is not the super star golfer from Wilder! That's my son Boston and he dreams of being just like 15 year old Daniel Uranga who lives right here in Wilder Idaho and just tied for 2nd place at the National Golf Finals in Augusta.

Tens of Thousands of young kids have the opportunity to qualify for the event. Wilder started out as one of 250 qualifiers across the country. That was narrowed down to 80 winners across 4 age divisions and those 80 teens just competed in Augusta where Daniel tied for second place.

The teens received points in driving, chipping, and putting. At the end of the competition, Secretary Condoleeza Rice shook Daniel's hand and his family says they will round off their time back East with a trip to Disney World. For more information and pictures of Daniel Uranga click HERE.
