This was a crazy spring for flooding around the state, and a lot of people were forced to use sandbags to protect homes and property. Now that the water is receding, you can dispose of those sandbags, but time is running out!

Sandbag disposal locations will be closing on Friday, July 7th. After that, disposal becomes your responsibility. So take advantage of the locations around the county before next Friday.

Specific instructions and location information can be found HERE

County officials are asking you to NOT put sandbags in your personal trash dumpsters as it will make the dumpster too heavy and can cause problems with the trucks.

Have a safe and happy Fourth of July from WOW 104.3!
