According to a recent Newsweek article, Idaho somehow didn't top the list of friendliest states in the U.S. In a survey that highlighted states where visitors could expect warm welcomes and hospitable communities, Idaho didn't exactly shine. Idaho wasn't as bad as New York, Arkansas, Delaware, Massachusetts, and New Jersey. They were the rudest states on the list.

The survey, conducted by World Population Review, placed states like Minnesota and Tennessee at the pinnacle of friendliness. Apparently, "Minnesota Nice" and Southern charm are unbeatable. But let's be real, Idahoans are pretty friendly, too. We just have to navigate the constant barrage of, "So, you're from California?" to prove it.

Despite this ranking, Idaho still has a lot to offer. Our scenic landscapes, tight-knit communities, and down-to-earth residents create a welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're exploring Boise's urban vibe or enjoying Coeur d'Alene's picturesque views, you'll find people ready to wave hello, just don't mention California.
