It only took three days into the new year for TSA to find a handgun at the Boise airport.

The gun was found in a bag-unloaded-as it passed through the x-ray machine. The gun, a Smith and Wesson .380 semiautomatic pistol, belongs to a passenger who was headed to Salt Lake City this morning.

According to KTVB, a Boise Police officer took the gun from the security checkpoint and the owner was not cited.
