Halloween Fun for Kids
Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. If you have little ones, like I do, here are some fun non-scary things to do with your kiddos.
- Make haunted gingerbread houses. We have done this since before my kids were born. You can find pre-made Halloween style gingerbread houses at almost any grocery store and although it's super messy, the kids have so much fun decorating.
- Watch a kid friendly Halloween Movie. This can be tough. My 7 year old daughter Jocelyn is easily frightened, but here's a few to check out and the ages they may be appropriate for.
- Throw a Halloween party with witches brew, caramel apples, and mummy hot dogs.
- Create your own haunted house. Again, my 7 year old is far to jumpy to go to any type of a real haunted house, but you can make a fun haunted house around your own home using inexpensive strobe lights, a fog machine, and I like to peel grapes and pretend they are eyeballs that the kids have to dip their hands into.
- Get creative with your pumpkins. We like to do glitter pumpkins, but here's some other fun ideas.
