Your Boise Hawks are only one game behind Eugene for the division lead. They play at home tonight and tomorrow night, taking on the Tri-City Dust Devils.

I've always felt college football was more exciting to watch than the NFL. I just feel like the college football teams play with more passion and desire to win than a lot of the guys that move on and start playing on Sunday. It feels like college players are playing their hearts out because the next step IS the NFL.

So it is with baseball. I love watching our Boise Hawks play, knowing that those players may well be playing in a World Series at some point. They tend to play hard, and leave it all on the field. The Boise Hawks are affiliated with the Colorado Rockies, and the teams they play are affiliated with other MLB teams. You never know when you go to a Hawks game with future MLB star you might be watching.

As of today, the Hawks are 18-14 on the season and one game behind the Eugene Emeralds for first place in the Northwest League South. They play Tri-City tonight and tomorrow night at home (Hawks Memorial Stadium) on Glenwood. They start a five game road trip to Everett, Washington on Thursday, returning home next Tuesday night.

So grab the kids, and gloves, and go check out a Hawks game! It's an awesome time!

Go Hawks!
