A very cool program at the Idaho State Correctional Institute has helped save over 1,700 dog from euthanization. Here's how.

The Idaho State Correctional Institute has partnered with the Idaho Humane Society in a win win situation for inmates and dogs who are waiting to be adopted.

Through the program, inmates train dogs who have behavior problems and in return working with the dogs helps the inmates deal with depression and anxiety. After training the dogs are more likely to be adopted.

One inmate has trained 53 dogs through the program, which also teaches inmates patience and gives them a sense of accomplishment. For more information on this program click HERE.
