Macy's has announced massive job cuts and reveals which store locations are shutting down.

Unfortunately, one of the locations that is going away is right here in Idaho. According to MSN.com, Magic Valley Mall in Twin Falls will no longer have a Macy's store. It's not the only one going down; in total 11 stores (7 of which were unidentified until today)  will close and result in a job cut of about 5,000 employees.

According to the article, the reason for the closures:

The company has been struggling with its massive real estate footprint and traditional retail model, as Amazon.com soars and physical competitors such as treasure-hunt retailers T.J. Maxx and Marshall's offer alternatives.

Their digital sales are going ok, it seems, with sales jumping by double digits.

Since their announcement of closing 100 stores back in 2016, they've revealed 81 locations. Crossing my fingers the Boise Towne Square Mall location stays put! For now, you can expect to see liquidation sales beginning on January 8, and lasting for about 12 weeks.
