Immediately Check To Make Sure Your Ford Isn’t Being Recalled In Idaho
Not A Great Look For Ford
I don't know if it's just me, but I've noticed it since I drive a Jeep. I do notice a lot of Ford Broncos driving throughout the Treasure Valley. If you drive a Bronco or a Ford Maverick pickup, then you need to make sure that you're not going to experience an issue with your vehicle.
The Great Ford Recall of 2025
They have issued a recall for 273,827 Bronco Spor SUVs and Maverick pickups that were manufactured between February 2021 and October 2023. But why is Ford recalling all those vehicles? Because of a faulty 12-volt batter that could cause sudden power loss leaving you stranded.
Not Again...
This isn't the first time Ford has been bucked off a Bronco. The recall follows a previous issue with the same vehicle models and a $165 million penalty in 2024 for delays in addressing the prior safety concerns. Thankfully, no accidents or injuries have been reported, and the chance of a sudden power loss has raised some serious safety concerns for drivers.
What to Know
The recall targets 2021-2023 Bronco Sports and 2022-2023 Mavericks. If you're impacted by the recall, you should contact the local dealership immediately. With over 270,000 vehicles in the mix, the inspection and repair process might take months to complete, and I guess you would rather drive your own car and some dealer rental.
